Some Sense Since...

Senseless sensibility
And I'm hoping for
More than this

Reality seems to bear
A constant ache
A constant stare
Down into the depths
Of our truest despairs

Reflections of glowing
Gleaming falsehood
Gory perfection
Wrapped in packages
Of lost and found

Senseless sensibility
And I'm hoping for
Sheer emptiness

Helpful voices try to
Draw finer lines
Distinct human lives
Into what they once were
Of past lives we forgot

Hang on to every
Last word you hear
Long before you sell
All that makes sense
Of this troubling sensibility
